100% Recycled
Motzblocks are made from 100% pre-consumer recycled plastic. M&M Construction Specialties' manufacturers (and upstream suppliers) purchase scrap plastic from sources across Texas and the United States. The scrap is brought back to Texas, melted down and made into the Motzblock finished product.

Motzblocks are in Division 2, so the recycled content can contribute to LEED credit "Materials & Resources 4: Recycled Content".

LEED Claim
Recycled Content (Post-Consumer & Pre-Consumer) A recycled content claim may be made for materials that have been recovered or otherwise diverted from the solid waste stream, either during the manufacturing process (pre-consumer), or after consumer use (post-consumer).

Pre-Consumer Recycled materials are generated by manufacturers and processors, and may consist of scrap, trimmings and other by-products that were never used in the consumer market. Pre-Consumer is the same as Post-Industrial.

It is recommended that you consult an architect or other LEED certified professional when attempting to gain LEED accreditation on your project.
